Celebrating National Volunteer Month
April is National Volunteer Month, a time to celebrate the contributions of volunteers, reaffirm your commitment to giving back to the community and encourage others to do the same. That’s why we are always seeking out ways to participate as volunteers for charitable events and fundraisers throughout the Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland area. Orland Township Senior Luncheon (Jan. 19): Staff members attended the Senior Luncheon at the Orland Park Township to speak about the clinic and provide lunch for the seniors. To find out about upcoming events at Orland Park Township, visit orlandtownship.org.
Ronald McDonald House (Jan. 22): Volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House in Chicago, cooked and served meals to families staying at Lurie Children’s Hospital. To learn more about the Ronald McDonald House, visit rmhc.org.
Polar Bear Plunge (Jan. 30): Midwest Express Clinic sponsored the Polar Bear Club and participated in the 2024 Polar Bear Plunge. All proceeds from the event were donated to local Chicago families in need. For more information about the Polar Bear Club, visit chicagopolarbearclub.com/what-we-do.
Blood Drive (Feb. 3): Staff members gathered at Richton Park Public Library to show support for the local blood drive. To find a blood drive nearest you, visit redcross.org.
