Midwest Express Clinic Taps Kris Bryant as Brand Ambassador

Text reads "We've Got Your Back."When Midwest Express Clinic brought in baseball superstar Kris Bryant as their new brand ambassador back in August, it was a relationship that was a natural fit in the making. The Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana urgent care clinic connected with the third baseman over their shared family-focused values.

“We wanted to grow our brand and do so by partnering with a familiar face, and someone who shared similar values as us,” said Muhammad Tayyab, Director of Community Relations at Midwest Express Clinic. “Bryant is very family-oriented, and he is involved in his community, the same values and mission we at Midwest Express Clinic share.”

Midwest Express Clinic offers 17 convenient urgent care locations throughout the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, a more timely and efficient option than a doctor’s or ER visit. Dedicated to serving its communities with quality healthcare when illness or injury suddenly arise, the urgent care clinic offers a range of services, including annual physicals, cold and flu treatment, injury and extensive care for broken bones, sprains, and lacerations, scans, women’s health, STD testing, and more. They also currently offer COVID-19 testing at all locations.

At the core of Midwest Express Clinic’s services are their values and commitment to providing quality connections with patients to their care.

“We want to empower each other, be empathy-driven in everything we do, and be community-focused,” Tayyab said. “Our goal is to provide a personal touch to the care we provide.”

“Bryant is very similar,” he continued. “He’s a genuine and kind person. Talking to him, you get the sense that he is very transparent, raw, and genuine. Everything comes from his heart, and at Midwest Express Clinic, we seek to provide extraordinary care with heart.”

The desire to work together on strengthening Midwest Express Clinic’s brand was mutual, with both parties working closely beginning in August. Since then, it’s only grown stronger as Midwest Express Clinic not only continues to provide quality healthcare thanks to their dedicated staff—who have worked tirelessly during the COVID-19 pandemic offering testing and care to patients—but also Bryant’s own charitable causes and his focus on family and team.

“He’s such an excellent teammate and empowers his team every day,” Tayyab said. “We empower each other and make sure the next staff member has all the tools and resources they need to do their job successfully.”

“At Midwest Express Clinic, we say that we are a family,” he continued. “So forming this relationship with someone who is so focused on family and giving back to the people around him and in his community was what we wanted. Bryant lives in Las Vegas, where he grew up, with his high school sweetheart and their new baby, and continues to do great work for his hometown and for Chicago.”

Bryant has been active in his charitable and philanthropic causes, most recently joining the #ALLINCHALLENGE to raise money in order to fight hunger during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“At Midwest Express Clinic, anywhere we can we jump in for our communities,” Tayyab said. “Whether it’s working with organizations feeding the homeless or families in need, doing toy drives, sponsoring recreation centers, his goals and values aligned with ours right away. We’re excited to partner with someone who shares those same values.”
