What Midwest Express Clinic is Thankful for

Thanksgiving is a time for celebration. We give thanks for everything good that happened during the last year and what we are most looking forward to in the year ahead. Midwest Express Clinic has had one of our best years ever in 2021, and we give thanks to everyone who made that possible.

As Thanksgiving approaches and the year winds down, we wanted to hear from our staff what they were grateful for this year, how they made the most of 2021, and what they want to achieve in the year to come.

What are you most grateful for this year?

“I am most grateful this year for being able to buy a house with my significant other.”

  • Haley A., RMA, Team Resource at Portage

“My health, especially working in healthcare. Seeing firsthand how the pandemic is affecting people, I couldn’t be more grateful to be healthy.”

  • Dunya J., RTR/MA, Team Resource at West Loop

“I’m grateful for my family and having a job I enjoy going to every day.”

  • Suzanne C., RMA, Operational Resource at Illinois

What simple pleasures were you able to enjoy this year?

“Spending time with family again and just being outside and laying on a hammock.”

  • Anastasia D., RTR/MA, Team Resource at Cedar Lake

“I was able to enjoy my free time with my children. Being a mom is my absolute favorite thing on the planet and having a job with a schedule that allows me to have days off with them, and have funds in my bank to do so, means so much to me. We have done many things, such as the pumpkin patch, field trips, and the beach.”

  • Alex L., RMA, Team Resource at Munster

“Being able to go to Hawaii.”

  • Stefanie M., RMA, Team Resource at Merrillville

How do you show gratitude in your daily life?

“I’m the kind of person that likes to make the people around me happy, so I always try to do little things, like buying people coffee or food for lunch.”

  • Dunya J., RTR/MA, Team Resource at West Loop

“Always checking in on family/friends, lending a helping hand when needed no matter who it may be, and always being kind and smiling no matter what to show care and love!”

  • Amanda M., MA, Team Resource at Crown Point

“By making others happy. If someone is having a bad day I try to cheer them up. I’m always there to talk to.”

  • Suzanne C., RMA, Operational Resource at Illinois

What goals do you have for the next year?

“My biggest goals for next year are financial stability and mental clarity.”

  • Haley A., RMA, Team Resource at Portage

“My goals for next year are to cook and exercise more. Also to travel out of the country again.”

  • Anastasia D., RTR/MA, Team Resource at Cedar Lake

“I want to be more vocal in my Team Resource role at Midwest Express Clinic. I also gained a little bit of weight back that I lost earlier this year. Working on getting and keeping those pesky pounds off! I also want to excel at the gym with the kickboxing classes I take.

  • Alex L., RMA, Team Resource at Munster
